The first trailer of the second season of "Loki" is out and has Marvel fans buzzing.
According to Disney, "Loki" is the most watched Marvel Studios series on Disney+. It is also the first live-action Marvel series to get a second season.
Eric Martin serves as the head writer of the show and Tom Hiddleston returns as the titular character. Episodes of Season 2 were directed by Justin Benson, Aaron Moorhead, Dan Deleeuw and Kasra Farahani.
Here's everything to know about the show's upcoming season.
Season 1 saw the series introduce actor Jonathan Majors as "He Who Remains," a variant of the Kang the Conqueror villain, who is supposed to be the main villain in the next phase of the Marvel cinematic universe.
Majors returns as Kang (and his many variants) for "Loki 2," but his recent legal issues (including assault and harassment charges) give rise to questions about his status in the MCU going forward.
Majors was arrested in New York in March for assault and aggravated harassment after an alleged domestic violence altercation with a 30-year-old woman.
The actor, who could face up to a year in prison if convicted, denied a scathing Rolling Stone report from June alleging abusive past behavior on his part toward former classmates, crew members and former romantic partners over the course of a decade.
Majors will stand trial Aug. 3, Manhattan District Attorney press secretary Doug Cohen told USA TODAY in a statement in June.

The second season also adds newly minted Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan, his MCU debut.
