A Michigan woman struck it big in the Double Win Wild Time Fast Cash game of the Michigan Lottery, taking home an impressive sum of $452,886 as her prize.
The 70-year-old woman bought her winning ticket at Mojoe's Food and Spirits at 4300 N. State Road in Davison, MI, after her husband motivated her by winning $10.
The woman told the Michigan Lottery that her husband wanted her to go back into the same store and purchase another ticket after he won.
"While I was getting his ticket, I decided to buy two Double Win Wild Time tickets for myself," she said.
She didn't win with the first ticket but got a new message when scanning the second one. The woman inspected the lottery ticket and saw she had won the jackpot.
"I went to my husband and asked him to tell me if I was reading everything right," she said. "When he looked at the ticket and realized it was a jackpot winner, he said a few choice words and then we started celebrating with everyone at MoJoe's."
She visited the Michigan Lottery headquarters on Monday to claim her grand prize. According to the Michigan Lottery, she plans to pay off her home, send her husband and son on an Alaskan fishing trip, and share the wealth with family.
