Five-time Masters champion Tiger Woods is included in the official tournament field list, an indication that he could play next month at Augusta National.
Woods, 48, whose appearances in PGA Tour events have been limited since his 2021 car accident, has played 25 times in the Masters and won in 1997, 2001, 2002, 2005 and 2019.
During last year's tournament, he made the cut for a 23rd consecutive time, tying the record shared by Gary Player and Fred Couples. But he was in pain in the third round and announced before the round resumed on Sunday that he was withdrawing. He had surgery on his right ankle 10 days later to address post-traumatic arthritis.
Woods' lone PGA Tour appearance this season was at the Genesis Invitational, and he pulled out of that tournament because of illness.
This year's Masters is scheduled to run from April 11-14.
Woods' five green jackets at the Masters are one shy of the record held by Jack Nicklaus. Woods trails only Nicklaus in overall major victories, 18-15, and is the co-leader with Sam Snead with 82 PGA Tour victories.
